Tri Cities WA Regional Facilities Projects to Air on Local TV
The three Tri Cities municipalities, Richland, Pasco and Kennewick, have been working together for some time on a cooperative effort to develop regional facilities such as a performing arts center, an aquatic center and other regional projects.
They will televise their efforts to this point in a program entitles Putting Together the Pieces: Choosing and Finding Funding for Regional Community Facilities. The program will air on Richland’s City View on local cable Channel 13 in Richland and cable channel 12 in Kennewick. The show will air at 9:30 a.m. Monday, 10 p.m. Tuesday, 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Thursday, 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday, and 9:00 p.m. Saturday. Pasco will air the program daily at 6:30 p.m. on PSC-TV cable channel 12.
Matt Watkins, chairman of the Tri-Cities Regional Facilities Oversight Committee and Richland Councilwoman Sheila Sullivan will discuss the formation, accomplishments and 2010 expectations of the community effort.
The concept of a regional aquatic center may already be being addressed by the private sector, with two dueling water park projects being recently announced in the Tri City Herald. For more about this project, please see our previous blog here.
