Tri-Cities WA Teachers Need our Support
School’s about to start back up here in the Tri-Cities WA. Many teachers in our area, year after year, selflessly spend their own (very meager!) salaries to purchase supplies for their classrooms, equipment for projects and even pencils and paper for their students because the school districts don’t have the funding.
DonorsChoose.org was established to help with this. This organization has a website that acts as a conduit between the teachers and those who would like to donate to help the teachers acquire what they need. Best of all, 100% of the donation goes to the teacher, without any administrative costs.
We enjoy some of the best schools in the state, but you’d be shocked to learn how much our teachers are short of supplies in their classrooms and how many would like to have equipment to add to our kid’s enjoyment of the subjects they study.
The Tri City Home Team established their own “Giving Page” with local requests from teachers in Kennewick, Richland and Pasco who are in need of supplies. Too many of our local teachers don’t know about this resource to help them defray the funds they spend trying to give our kids a richer learning experience in their classrooms, so please forward this story on to any teachers you know. They don’t have to be here in the Tri Cities WA- this is a national organization.
And please, visit our Giving Page, pick from the list of projects and donate to our teachers. It can be as little as you like, and every dollar you do give goes directly to the teacher requesting the funds.
You can directly affect the learning environment of our Tri Cities WA children. This is a fantastic and easy way to do it!
